Helping others in Irvine and around the world
Good oral health changes lives. Giving back has been part of our practice for nearly 30 years.
Dental Care for Children
Dr. Tozzer is the founder of Dental Care for Children (DCFC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation dedicated to providing free dental care for children who would otherwise go without. The program started with Dr. Tozzer and members of the Tozzer Dental team, and has grown to include many volunteer dentists and hygiene students from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC.
DCFC began at an orphanage in Mexico and has expanded to clinics in Southern California and Haiti. It also works with partner clinics in Guatemala, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Mexico, Haiti, Uganda, Honduras, Morocco and Cambodia. To date it has served more than 30,000 children at more than 310 free clinics, with dental and hygiene students from USC, UCLA, Loma Linda and other schools helping to spread smiles.
“Come with us, go with us and change a life, and it might even be your own. You can close your eyes when you get home, months later, and you'll see the faces of those kids.”
